Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.
Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help fight breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans in addition to giving $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to fundraise for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the number of cases is actually going down each year, that still represents a huge number of families who are grappling with this disease, and that means there’s an immediate need for research and support.”
The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s feelings. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in our state – for women and men.”
